Melbourne Singer Songwriter SARAH C, possesses a combination of ferocious talent, dynamite energy and an extremely unique, powerful and soulful voice. It’s no wonder she has rapidly earned the reputation as “Melbourne Soul Diva”.

SARAH C  and her power voice are hitting the stage at this years Fashion+Aid on Sept 10th. I got to steal 5 Minutes of her time.

You are performing at this years Fashion+Aid, can you give us a little insight to what we might expect?

I will be performing my original song “Fearless” which is all about empowerment, self love and  self belief against all odds.  The song has quite a powerful message so I’m hoping that comes across in my performance.

Who is your style Icon? 

Ultimately I would have to say Sophia Lauren. She’s just such a stunning timeless beauty always elegant, classic and sexy.  As far as modern icons go I’d have to say I really like Jennifer Lopez’s style also. She embodies that old Hollywood glamour with modern sex appeal and she knows how to work those curves.

How do you like your coffee? 

In a Martini glass.

What’s your favourite piece of clothing from your closet and why?

Definitely the LBD. Its just that go to piece that you can wear at any occasion and still feel confident and look great.

Who has been your biggest mentor or role model in your career?

I’ve had some instrumental people in my life and great artists who have inspired me but I’d have to say my father. He’s been a singer for over 40 years and I inherited my talent from him so I guess if it wasn’t for him I may not have ever been a singer or chosen to follow this path.

This years theme for Fashion Aid is Met Ball, Who/what has been your inspiration for your red carpet outfit?

I love feminine, elegant and sexy designs that really highlights a woman’s curves and celebrate the female shape.  I’m definitely a fan of Zuhair Murad and I love the way his designs mould to the body and look like they are almost part of the body so will drawing inspiration from that.
