You are performing at this years Fashion + Aid, can you give us a little insight to what we might expect?

I can’t give much, without giving it away completely but lets just say, it’s going to be pretty amazing.

How would you describe yourself in 3 words?

Devoted, daring, entertaining.

You started your career at the age of 12yrs old. You have had some amazing moments. What has been your biggest highlight for you?

Starting my career at age 12, there has been so many memorable moments, very hard to choose just one! Singing the National Anthem last year, for Caulfield Cup, broadcasted nationally was a moment I’ll never forget. Competing on the Xfactor in 2010, changed my life and made me grow as an artist. Sharing the stage with Tina Arena (one of my idols) on Dancing with the Stars and the Susan Alberti Signature Ball was beautiful. Not forgetting the launch of EP last year with friends, family and supporters all showing their love of my original music.

Who is your style icon?

Again, so hard to choose one! But if I had to choose one style icon I would definitely have to say Rihanna. She embraces her femininity and masculinity simultaneously, while bringing edge, heat, and class to all of her looks. She is one baaaad bit**.

For those who don’t know you or your amazing voice. How would you describe yourself as an artist?

I would describe myself as a chameleon; forever changing and growing into the artist that I am today and the artist that I want to be. Inspired by some of the biggest and best voices in the world, I’m an old soul musically that appreciates artists that put their absolute all into every performance. Whitney, Mariah, Celine, Stevie, MJ, Ray (the list goes on)… I believe the world is currently starved for artists like them, with their vocal impact and passion. I hope to inspire people with my vocal ability and dedication and to keep ‘singing’, from the heart & soul, alive.

Who has been your biggest mentor or role model in your career?

My biggest mentors are definitely the artists mentioned above. I’m also very much inspired by my family and friends that always keep me grounded and humble, while still reinforcing my talent and ability when I have an off day! So many people have offered me such amazing advice over the years in the industry, and it’s a lot of that advice that has shaped me to be the musician and person I am. I’ve been very fortunate to receive that.

The theme for this years Fashion + Aid is Met Ball. Who or what is your inspiration for the night?

I cannot tell you who my inspiration is for my performance, you’ll just have to wait and see! But I love the MET ball fashion, and have adored what Jlo and Beyonce bring to the red carpet every year, I hope to wear something sexy and sparkly for the red carpet… divalicious!

HAYLEY TEAL and her amazing voice will be hitting the stage this Saturday 10th Sept at Fashion + Aid. It’s sure to be a performance not to miss.
