As soon as I was told about Pressplay Cosmetics, I had to have one! I was hesitant about the actual cosmetics but I was pleasantly surprised and impressed. The lush red lipstick stayed on ALL day! Yes Ladies, ALL DAY! I only touched it up once, cause I started to feel like it wore a bit. The products, in general, feel creamy, lush and luxurious. The capsule … the size of my iPhone plus! After falling in love with Pressplay Cosmetics, I needed to meet the woman behind this genius idea and find out more about her.

Meet Kate Flammea…

How did you come up with this genius idea?

The idea came to me in a moment of madness! Morning rush madness to be specific. I was getting my son ready for pre-school, answering emails and getting myself presentable for the day. Short on time (as per usual), I ran out of the house with my son and a half completed makeup look. I didn’t have time to pack my lipstick, mascara and eyeliner to finish off. I thought to myself: “Why hasn’t someone invented a small makeup case that is always packed and ready to grab on my way out?!” The rest is history.

How has Pressplay Capsule changed your daily routine?

It has eliminated the stress of having to mentally plan when I can do my makeup in the morning in between all the other tasks. I know that I have a backup plan ready for me and I can apply my makeup when I have a few minutes before a business meeting. I use the Capsule either in the car or on a train.

Being a mum and Business Woman… how do you find the work/family balance?

All women are incredible in my view as we all have some sort of juggling act to do. It is not easy to balance work and family life. I believe that at the core of this balance is your own wellbeing. For me, a gym session and meditation is what I need to end the day with. Self-care allows me to be the best mother, wife and boss I can be.

3 words to describe yourself?

Passionate. Happy. Curious.

Alexander Eyeliner, Roman Face Paint and Pierre Highlighter are always in my Capsule.

Favorite Makeup trend for 2018?

I love seeing just one colour swept across the eyelid. It’s so simple – yet when paired with a winged eyeliner – it is so chic and elevates the makeup look. Also, highlighter for the next million years!

As a businesswoman, do you have a quote or mantra you live by to get you through a tough day?

What’s next for Pressplay Cosmetics?

I have big plans to get a Pressplay Cosmetics Capsule in the hands of every woman that needs a solution like I did. We are expanding our range and a Capsule 2.0 is in the works.

What would you be doing if you had a day to yourself for “ME” time

I would either be at the beach, reading a book or at the gym.

Tea or Coffee, how do you have it?

I’m actually trying to phase out Coffee. Tea and I are working on our relationship. English Breakfast Tea with a dash of milk is my order.
