Can you believe we have dating for 8years, Melbourne?
If we are going, to be honest, it’s been a complicated relationship.
I arrived with a musician and his band maybe knew 2 people at the most outside of the band. I arrived at a time of need. I was escaping the past and running into the future. Funny thing is, it was the best time of my life and the worst!

When the musician hit the road, we had our love-hate relationship, Melbourne. For the first 9months Melbourne, you were a Biatch! I knew nothing about you but learnt fast that you are unpredictable.

With time I learnt to understand the crazy weather, 4 seasons in a day no matter what season you are in. I became a fan of big bags so I could carry a jacket, umbrella, and my life in it! From Antarctic cold winds and rain that floods streets and stops trams and trains to heat waves that see you sweating for at least 4 days straight. The weather I think has been our hardest struggle!

Our dates have been my favourite, we have had so many fun dates together. Coffee dates to so many different cafes all over the city. We have had an adventure. My favourite is visiting NGV or roaming the graffiti streets and finding a cafe I’ve never been too.

We have had an amazing adventure together. The journey has been fun, red carpets, events, fashion runways, working with amazing souls, shared some fun homes and met incredible humans who became family.

It has been an incredible 8years, with lows and highs. I sit here writing this as I don’t know what our future looks like.  We are so complicated but I do love you.
