When it comes to festivals we all want the VIP experience. We dream of living it up backstage with all the rock stars and celebrities.
We don’t want the mud, dirt and uncomfortable camping that comes with festivals…We suffer with it cause, well what else are we going to do, we just have to suck it up and block it out and remember we are here for the tunes!!!

Our gal Roni from Kaliver took one for the team and hit Splendour but VIP style. Yes, she scored a luxury VIP pass to hang back stage watching in awe some of the best acts of Splendour.

On her return hearing all the fun that was had, I thought it was best she share what a Splendour VIP experience is like. What we missed out on and what she wore most of all. We all saw the posts flood instagram and wish that we bought a ticket.

Let’s talk fashion… onlookers from a far saw lots of glitter, very lack of clothing. How would you describe the fashion from festival goers?
Personally, I didn’t experience the ‘glitter dressers,’ there wasn’t much of any glitter in the VIP areas. A lot of black and warm clothing was what the industry-folk were wearing. I witnessed a lot of sensible-based clothing, rather than festival-head fashion, it was a chilly weekend.

What were your looks for Splendour, who were you wearing and what was your inspiration/muse for the look?
I dressed head-to-toe in Kaliver each day. After visiting Coachella earlier this year, I based my looks around that festival, with a ‘flare’ from Byron. I didn’t attend day 1, due to Kaliver commitments.
So on day 2 (Saturday); I wore Kaliver’s; Ruby Yum Yum Top in Maroon, In Jest Neoprene Bralette in Grey Frost, Isabella Pants in Maroon, and V-Furcoat in the Pink/Red combo. I also teamed the look with some Gentle Monster Shades in Red, Fenty x Puma lace-up creepers and a Chloe Bag in Maroon.

Day 3 (Sunday); I wore Kaliver’s soon-to-be-released Desert Maxi Dress in Maroon and the V-Fur Coat in the pink/red combo. I teamed this look with a Kookai bodysuit, Gentle Monster Shades, and Adidas slides (not my first choice of footwear, but I was tormented with blisters from the day before)

Any tips for next years’ Splendour goers?
Rug up, pick an outfit that can take you from day to night easily. It got down to 5C on Sunday night.

Did you attend any of the after parties, they are the place to be apparently?
I actually didn’t. I was invited to two, but I enjoyed the festival too much, so I didn’t want to ruin my next day, with an after party from the night before. x

Thanks for the chat babe! What an experience, we can’t wait to see the next festival experience. Loving the festival looks, so effortless yet comfy!
