Kate Bollard

About

Kate BollardKate Bollard has always had an insatiable love of the fashionable aesthetic.

Hailing from the sleepy seaside shores of Wollongong, in New South Wales, Kate’s early experiences as a buyer and visual merchandiser for a small home and giftware boutique inspired her strong sense of creativity, her commitment to visual design and gave her the drive to pursue her professional studies in fashion and old-world skills of millinery.

From a fashion design background in Sydney, Kate was lucky enough to move into the world of styling over nine years ago when she made the move down to Melbourne. Kate has worked on various fashion festivals, styled Miss World and Miss Universe contestants, red carpet events and even private celebrity clients.

Kate’s past experiences have ranged from working for boutique modelling agencies including Giant Management and Darley Management. Kate’s role as Head Booking Agent for the Men’s and Woman’s division was seamlessly merged with her greater love of styling as she took on the role as in-house styling of the agency as well.

Kate has also represented L’Oreal Matrix and modelled extensively both here in Australia and overseas. With such a holistic experience across various divisions of fashion and beauty both behind and in front of the camera, it is little surprise that she has been an actively sought-after celebrity stylist.

Working with such inspiring clients who also became good friends and private tutors, they pushed Kate to fulfil her dream of acting. It has always been a passion of Kate’s.

Wanting to share all that she loves with the world, Kate created her blog and website katebollard.com. She delves into all her favourites from inspirational interviews with some very special guests, to specially curated products and services across a myriad of industries, from beauty to fashion, food to lifestyle, and everything in between.

Charity work is a big part of who Kate is. Kate has been an ambassador for TLC for Kids, a charity close to Kate’s heart that supports all families and sick kids in hospital. Kate has been a panellist for an in-school program called Just BU. Believing it is important to inspire young people to be themselves and know that there so many possibilities no matter what others label them as; nerdy, sporty, arty, etc.

As mental health touches most individuals, both big and small, Kate is a firm believer that the stigma attached to mental health needs to be eradicated. Which is why Kate is furthering her studies in holistic counselling to help young adults feel comfortable and not alone with what’s going on and with the need to feel “normal.”

Which brings us to Kate’s latest and most satisfying venture; FRAU Jewellery, of which Kate is the founder and designer. It is a solid silver jewellery label; in which the range has been designed for all women with its basis being to empower, inspire and support women all over the world. FRAU Jewellery was created as a legacy of Kate’s Great Grandmother, Phyllis Bollard, with 10% of every purchase going to Cancer Council; which is available exclusively online via: www.fraujewellery.com
