Sydney-based eyewear brand has opened their first interstate store in Melbourne Central last month. Situated in the heart of Melbourne CBD fashion hub, Oscar Wylee is sure to settle in well.

I already know your thinking… who is Oscar Wylee?

No this is not just another optical store!
The idea behind Oscar Wylee was simple: to provide high-quality, affordable eyeglasses with a vintage feel.
Pretty bloody simple right?
They are not doing anything too complicated, simply just cutting out the middleman and giving you the same glasses direct from the factory, minus the price tag!

BUT they have something else to offer… they are a brand with a difference.
Every pair of glasses you buy from them, they send another pair to someone less fortunate.

That’s a brand with consciousness. And a brand I want to share with you.

When you walk into the store you are walking into a space like no other retailer. Designed by Melbourne-based architectural and interior design practice, DesignOffice, the store focuses on a simple and effortless design to reflect the Melbourne lifestyle. Developing the existing essentials of the brand, the new store will use form and material to convey consideration and warmth whilst still remaining effortless in its construction.
First time collaborating with DesignOffice, the firm succeeds in putting their expertise to the test elaborating on values of the brand in its translation into store qualities.

The calm composure of the store features contrasting materials as well as soft and tactile forms to invite the customers in and highlight the importance of a comfortable environment to shop. The considered detail in architectural components as well as the domestic practicality of the lifestyle hue adds as a layer of material depth and acoustic warmth to the contemporary and carefully considered location.
